Summer Lights - Ilfracombe
This picture was taken during the busy August holiday period of 2021. It was inspired by my 'Summer Lights - Woolacombe' picture and was captured using the same long-exposure process, although this time I was a lot closer to the Ilfracombe subject.
It was taken from up high on Hillsborough a few minutes after the sun had set. With the shutter speed set to about 20 to 30 seconds, I captured this image that shows the light trails of the many cars driving around the harbour and town. As it was quite dark, the lights of the buildings were starting to illuminate as was the lighthouse on the right side of Lundy in the distance. Also, the lights onboard the Oldenberg (lundy Ferry) at the bottom of the picture were on.
My own favourite parts of this picture are the lights around Capstone Hill towards the right, the shadows of the railings at the bottom of the picture, but I particularly love the lights right in the centre making their way down the famous Fore Street.
This image is immensely sharp and shows off the amazing detail of this beautiful place at dusk. It can be made into wall-art that really has the WOW factor!
I ONLY OFFER THIS PRINT AS A WHITEWALL PRODUCED PHOTO METALLIC HD VERSION. THEREFORE THE COST IS SLIGHTLY HIGHER, BUT IT MAKES A TRULY STUNNING PRINT. FIND OUT MORE HERE
