Snowy Springtime - Woolacombe
This series of pictures was taken at very early spring in March 2018. Snow in Woolacombe is pretty rare, but in 2018 there were several heavy falls thanks to ‘the beast from the east’. This picture was taken from the top of Potters Hill where there were great views over the whole of the village covered in the white stuff. It was a grey day, the sun never actually put in an appearance, but it is possible to make out most of Woolacombe’s wonderful landmarks. Also, on the hill opposite you can make out some people enjoying their toboggans.
On this day, I was luckily in the the village and walked down the middle of the main road and all over Woolacombe and Mortehoe taking as many pictures as I could. You just never know when there'll be another opportunity!
The top image is actually a cropped version to fit in a standard frame. The full image is below and show more of the valley including all of Chichester Park. Below that, are various other pictures I took on this wonderful day.
This image is very sharp and shows off the amazing detail of this beautiful place in the snow. They can be made into wall-art that really has the WOW factor!
